Dear Customers

Our story begins long before the multiple walks across the graduation stage at Clemson University and even longer before the move to Greenville. We grew up in a wonderful home in Statesboro, Georgia where our parents, David and Beth, instilled in us the importance of entertaining, fellowship, and loving others well. Our home has always been glowing with light and warmth from the people inside, always open to everyone. Not only has entertaining been an important part of our Southern upbringing, but it has led us to some of our very favorite memories, both recent and distant.

Whether we were decorating for Christmas or another holiday or simply sharing family dinner, our mom emphasized the fact that china was not reserved for special events. It was made to be used and loved, bringing joy to our table and its guests. Nightly dinner over our well set table was always lively with discussion of our days, future plans and many funny stories and jokes. It still is something that we look forward to at home. Whether entertaining for many or your family, love and personally curated home decor is what makes a house a home, and our mom has always taught us that. From picking the perfect cocktail napkin to the place settings on the table to the decorations on the porch, you could always tell she had filled our house with love and purpose.

We have many great memories in Smith Jewelers of Statesboro choosing new Christmas ornaments each year. The four of us would select a new ornament that meant something to another family member as a surprise. Our parents have always stressed the importance of loving each other well and in acts of kindness and meaningful entertaining, we learned that.

Our parents own and operate a family business, and it has always been our dream to be self employed. The connections that were made and the growth we have all experienced in our family’s business shaped our childhood and made us into who we are today. Our parents are the hardest working people we know, and growing up in our small business environment only accentuates the importance of community and connection. Our dad embodies all of these qualities, and we strive everyday to do the same.

Bryan started her own business with Bry’s Surcees and fell in love with the creative and meaningful connections she made. Garris has worked in retail and customer service and fell in love with the connections, community, and business operations these opportunities offered.

With all of our combined experiences and a lot of love, The Boys was born. The Boys is a culmination of core values and upbringing: faith, family, community, and entertaining. We offer fine china, unique gifts, and registry services. Our mission is to offer Greenville an inviting space with an exceptional shopping experience combining luxury, uniqueness, and heartfelt customer service.

With so much love,
The Boys
